I need to find love poems with devices for a project. I just need two more poems that have one of these:

-pun

-symbol

-hyperbole

-understatement

-verbal/situational/dramatic irony.

If you know of any poems that have these please tell me the name! Thanks

Let us find the examples:

Symbol and Understatement:

Yes, Robert FrostpoemFire and Ice” has used both symbols and understatement. You can find its answer here under the question “Can you find the figurative language in this poem?”

Hyperbole:

John Keats has used hyperbole in his poem “Ode to Autumn” and William Wordsworth in “I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud.”

Pun:

Whoever hath her wish, thou hast thy Will,

And Will to boot, and Will in overplus;

(Sonnet 135 by William Shakespeare)

In these first two lines, Shakespeare has capitalized the word “will” in the middle of the line. It means it should be the his first common name and he makes a pun on his name.
