Holden’s view about women is totally different from other men in society. He believes them as someone to have friendship and have a great company with. He does not like to look at women in a typical way of men for gratifying sexual appetite. He thinks they need to be remain virgin for a long time, as once they lose their virginity, it means they have lost something very precious forever. Likewise, he feels for Jane, someone very special whom he wishes to maintain a great company with.
