I’m writing a paper analyzing the language of an interview and I’m trying to figure out if there’s a specific term for this. The example is: “public sector” and “public funding”. Both things start with the word “public” and I’m wondering if there’s a term to describe this particular form of repetition. Another example would be something like “She wore pink shoes and a pink skirt” where both items (shoes and skirt) are described as “pink”.

No, it is the same repetition. There are some terms for repetition but they are associated with phrases.
