The title of the story is “Little Snow-White” by Brother Grimm. If you have the text, please see these lines and read them.

“The red on the white looked so beautiful that she thought to herself, “If only I had a child as white as snow, as red as blood, and as black as the wood in this frame.”

This is an example of foreshadow which shows that these lines predicts the next event of the story-line. This is called foreshadowing.
