Jim Hawkins as our narrator, has a nice flair for dramatic. For instance, he reminds us how he was involved in a high stakes quest for the treasure. The reward is huge and enormous, nevertheless risks are intense.
His narration expresses thrill, chill and draws readers’ interest. While Doctor Livesey, unlike Jim could not create suspense in three parts that he narrates. Thus, the tone of the novel is intense and full of suspense.
