At the beginning of every chapter of this novel, Bronte gives a perfect romantic picture of natural surroundings such as weather, sky and mountains, which helps creating mood for a particular topic. She has tied the romantic presentation of inner feelings of character with nature. Some experiences happen in quite thoughtfully planned manner in certain places. Likewise, indoor setting also signifies to intensity of the situation and reader’s mood. For instance, the horrendous childhood experience of Jane in a deathly, mysterious, and blood red room scares her throughout her life. The proposal of Rochester, on the other hand happens in a garden on a bright sunny day. So, the diction is very vivid and descriptive.
