Tactile imagery is concerned with a sense of touch, physical touches or textures.

Let us take its examples:

Example # 1

“There were ten thousand thousand fruit to touch”

Cherish in hand, lift down, and not let fall.

(“After Apple Picking” by Robert Frost)

In these lines, the poet has used tactile imagery, as you can see the use of physical touch “fruit to touch” and “cherish in hand.”

Example # 2

“I cannot see what flowers are at my feet”

(“Ode to Nightingale” by John Keats)

Here the speaker uses a sense of touch “at my feet” to describe insects, flowers and plants surrounding him.
